Getting Financial Help from the VFW

I have gone through numerous tough financial times since getting out of the military, and the VFW has always been there to help. This organization has provided many veterans with financial grants, and fortunately I am one of them. These grants have helped to keep myself and my family afloat through difficult periods where money was extremely tight. Most people don’t realize just how difficult it can be for veterans to get by after leaving the military.

The VFW has given me $5,000 to help with paying basic day-to-day bills as well as medical bills that have incurred over the past six months due to various health problems. I know a lot of people who have received financial assistance from this organization, and I think it’s a truly great thing.

All of the financial help that I have received from the VFW has gone a long ways towards helping my family through very tough times. I was unemployed for about four months, and this organization was there for me in a big way. I actually came close to losing my home, but thankfully I was given a grant from the VFW. I also received numerous personal donations from fellow veterans I had met over the last year, which I am eternally grateful for.

I simply cannot say enough good things about the VFW because of all the good they have done and continue to do for myself and people like me. I know a lot of people who have also received financial assistance from this organization, and it really helped them out a lot.

The financial assistance that the VFW provides to veterans is one of the best things they do, and I am happy to have benefited from the Unmet Needs program. I was able to get the money I needed quickly and without any hassle, which was both surprising and amazing. I honestly wasn’t sure if I would qualify, but I am incredibly happy that I did.
